A simple Parmesan cheese Swiss chard stalks Gratin, with olive oil and breadcrumb, it is roast in the oven then enhanced with fresh sage. It can be served as appetizer or side dish, very tasty.

Stalks of 12 Swiss chard leaves |

3 tbsp. olive oil |
2 tbsp. shredded Parmesan |
1 tbsp. breadcrumb |
Fresh sage |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400˚F. Separate stalks from Swiss chard leaves. Set leaves aside to use in another recipe. Here are two recipe ideas: Swiss chard, potato and goat cheese Quiche and Italian sausage and Swiss chard Gnocchi.
Blench Swiss chard stalks in hot water 3 minutes.
In a small oven-proof dish, add 1 tbsp. olive oil, Swiss chard stalks, breadcrumb, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and drizzle with 1 extra tbsp. olive oil.
Cook in oven 20 minutes.
Serve as side dish or appetizer with fresh sage leaves and enjoy!
