Pear, Prosciutto, and Gorgonzola Pizza drizzled with Balsamumm

Pear, Prosciutto, and Gorgonzola Pizza drizzled with Balsamumm

1 pizza dough |

½ cup smoked gouda, shredded |
½ cup mozzarella, shredded |
¼ cup gorgonzola, crumbled |
3 slices of prosciutto, rolled up and sliced thinly |
1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced |
1 pear thinly sliced |
1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaf |
1 tbsp. olive oil |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Balsamumm, to serve |
Cast Iron pizza pan, optional |
Preparation
If using, place cast iron pizza pan in the center of oven, preheat to 500 ˚F. When oven is ready, take out pan (be careful, it is very hot). Roll pizza dough on a floured surface and place on cast iron pan or any other pizza pan. Brush dough with olive oil and add mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle gorgonzola crumbles and gouda over pizza. Finish off with pear, onions and prosciutto, salt, pepper to taste. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden. Remove from oven. Serve immediately with fresh thyme and Balsamumm.
